Coquet Park After School Club KS2: wow...we created these fabulous optical art works tonight! Once we got the hang of the technique we drew the patterns out quite quickly! They look so 3 dimensional, I can’t wait to see them with the colour added next week!

NHSG After School Club EYFS & KS1: we had a special assignment this week at ART4... we have been asked to help Mrs McElhinney with a very exciting project which will require all of our creativity and artistic skills! We’re ready for the challenge! More to be revealed soon! Sorry there’s no pictures, I don’t want to spoil the surprise!

NHSG After School Club KS2: we added a layer of paint to our wire sculptures tonight! They’ll be ready for colour next week! They are all so different and the shapes are really unique. Quote of the week “These are so much fun to make!” Mission accomplished!

Archibald First After School Club KS2: 3D emoji faces using a special technique called quilling to add dimension! We used cocktail sticks to help us roll the quills nice and tight then we glued them to the bases! We’re going to add the expressive faces next week! Such a lot of concentration shown tonight! 😍😊😎

‪Archibald First After School Club KS1: we used paper to add a three dimensional aspect to our project this week. The heads of our mice are cones and make the work 3D! They’re very cute, I love all the individual backgrounds! Such great imaginations! ‬

Brunton First After School Club Yr4: we began these stunning scraperboard artworks at our first club after half term tonight! We talked about how pattern and colour can work to produce striking results. The smaller and tighter the pattern, the more colour is seen! Yr4 really enjoyed revealing the rainbow in each section! I can’t wait to see them completed next week!
